• Mendocino County Supervisor John Haschak will not seek re-election • The Mendocino Voice (mendovoice.com) — Covelo’s representative on the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors, John Haschak, has announced he will not seek re-election and will leave office when his term ends in January 2027. He reflects on his work improving emergency preparedness for District 3, including evacuation routes, and says he plans to stay active in public service, possibly returning to teaching or international work.
