1 Dead In Cupertino House Fire, Arson Investigators On Scene

Circumstances surrounding the fire have been deemed suspicious, but no other information has been released.

CUPERTINO, CA — A man was killed in a two-alarm house fire in Cupertino on Monday morning and arson investigators are at the scene, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.

The Santa Clara County Fire Department responded to the fire around 4:20 a.m. at the 1000 block of Tuscany Place. They found heavy smoke and fire, and a deceased victim during an initial search of the home in a back bedroom.

Detectives arrived later in the morning. Two other residents managed to get out of the home, fire officials said.

Sheriff's detectives and an arson investigator with the Santa Clara County Fire Department are at the scene, Sheriff's Office spokesman Russell Davis said.

Davis added that circumstances surrounding the fire have been deemed suspicious, but no other information has been released.
