CUPERTINO, CA -- The city is hosting a class for residents who want to learn how to build compost piles and worm bins.

The class is scheduled for March 2 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Senior Center at 21251 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino.

Composting represents a way of conditioning and fertilizing soil through the mix of bacteria and nutrients with the dirt. It's also a fun and engaging hobby.
