Cyclist Critically Injured In Los Altos Hit-And-Run
The bicyclist, a 42-year-old man, was in critical but stable condition as of Monday after undergoing emergency surgery, police said.
LOS ALTOS, CA — Authorities are seeking the public’s help investigating a hit-and-run collision over the weekend that left a bicyclist critically injured, Los Altos police said.
The crash occurred at around 11:33 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of N. San Antonio Road and Yerba Buena Avenue, police said.
The bicyclist, a 42-year-old man, was transported to a local trauma center and underwent emergency surgery, police said. He was in critical but stable condition as of Monday.

Investigators determined that the suspect vehicle was traveling northbound in the 300 block of N. San Antonio Road and struck the bicyclist, who was also traveling northbound on N. San Antonio, police said.
The suspect vehicle after the collision continued driving northbound, fleeing the scene, according to police.

The suspect vehicle may be silver or a similar color, police said.
“The Los Altos Police Department is seeking assistance from anyone who may have witnessed this collision or may have seen the bicyclist in the area prior to the collision,” the agency wrote on its Facebook page.
