Updated: Missing Person Alert: 83-Year-Old Filipino Man In Santa Clara

Santa Clara Police are asking for the public's help in locating an 83-year-old Filipino man who has dementia.

UPDATE 8:15AM THURSDAY-

SANTA CLARA - Santa Clara Police this morning announced an 83-year-old Filipino man that had gone missing Tuesday morning was safely located Wednesday night and reunited with family.

Police say about 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a witness saw Esteban Reynaldo sitting on a bench in front of the Bank America at Valley Fair.

The witness returned to the area at about 10:00 p.m., police say, and saw Reynaldo still sitting on the bench. Police say the witness then called authorities, and Reynaldo was located.

SANTA CLARA - Santa Clara Police are asking for your help in locating a missing 83-year-old Filipino man afflicted with dementia who disappeared Tuesday morning.

Police say Esteban Reynaldo left his residence on March 8 about 8:00 a.m. for the post office on Lafayette St & Eisenhower Dr., and also to return merchandise in the area of El Camino Real & Pomeroy Ave. in Santa Clara.

According to police, as of 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, Reynaldo had not returned to his residence. Family members called police to report him missing.

Reynaldo was walking when he left his residence, according to the information provided. He does not drive but is familiar with local bus routes and has taken VTA in the past.

Esteban Reynaldo is described as a Filipino man about 5' 3" tall, weighing 135 lbs., and is bald with brown eyes.

Police say Reynaldo was wearing blue jeans, brown shoes, a red San Francisco 49er sweatshirt, a khaki baseball hat, and a black backpack.

They add that Esteban has dementia and takes medication for high blood pressure.
