Photo of the Day: Joey the Cockatiel Goes for a Walk

There's no punchline to this story: I was zig-zagging my way through the neighborhood after leaving Deep Cliff Golf Course where I played nine holes with friends Thursday when I drove by a girl with a bird on her shoulder. No, really.

She was strolling down the street with the bird perched on her left shoulder. I had to pull over and ask to take her picture. 

Joey the cockatiel is 18; older than the teenage girl giving him a ride. His human said the family taught Joey how to go for rides on their shoulders after they got him a few years back.

That's it. Like I said no punchline, no point to the story nor any news. It's just a photo of the day.
