The boiler that moderates water temperature has failed, with parts possibly taking up to six weeks to fix the 50-meter and training pools.
SANTA CLARA, CA — One of 11 pools the city runs on five park sites, the International Swim Center in Santa Clara will be closed for the remainder of the summer as it undergoes much-needed repairs, the Santa Clara local government announced Wednesday.
A big necessary repair, the boiler has for the 50-meter and training pools has failed, taking away the ability to moderate the water temperature. In addition, parts are hard to come by, making the repairs last as long as six weeks.
The pool located at 2625 Patricia Drive has been used as a training facility for Olympic teams and other professional swimming entities.
