Updated: Sig-Alert Cancelled For Southbound I-280 Near Wolfe

The CHP reports all lanes on the highway are now open after closures this morning.

UPDATE 7AM-

The California Highway Patrol has cancelled the Sig-alert on southbound Interstate Highway 280 just north of Wolfe Road in San Jose after a multi-vehicle collision this morning.

As of 6:39 a.m. the CHP reported all lanes have reopened after crews removing debris in the road as well as at least two vehicles on fire.

At 5:42 a.m. the CHP issued the alert temporarily shutting down all lanes.

CUPERTINO - The California Highway Patrol has issued a Sig-alert on southbound Interstate Highway 280 just north of Wolfe Road in San Jose after a multi-vehicle collision this morning.

At 5:42 a.m. the CHP reported all lanes on the highway were shut down due to debris in the road as well as at least two vehicles on fire.

At 6:02 a.m., the CHP reported lane 1 and the center divider were open, but traffic was slowed.

The CHP said fire and clean-up crews were notified and responding.

There is no estimated time on when the lanes will reopen, and the CHP urges drivers to use alternate routes until further notice.
