Sunnyvale Sexual Assault Suspect Sketch Released

The city's public safety department, working in conjunction with Santa Clara police, is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect.

SUNNYVALE, CA -- The city's public safety department and the Santa Clara Police Department are investigating several incidents of sexual assaults that occurred in both cities between last May and Jan. 10, 2019 and need your help.

Assaults were reported in the area of Raynor Park in Sunnyvale between 6:50 p.m. and 9 p.m., when the suspect appeared to have targeted and groped lone female pedestrians.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or white male in his 20s or 30s, standing about 5 foot, 3 inches to 5 foot, 8 inches tall, with a slim- to medium build. He's also described as having short black hair seems spiked upward.

Sunnyvale detectives are asking individuals who may have witnessed the assaults or residents with surveillance cameras in that general neighborhood to come forward.
