Suspect Flees After Stabbing Woman In Central Park
Police release a sketch of the man they're looking for after a Tuesday night assault and robbery at Santa Clara's Central Park.

SANTA CLARA - Santa Clara Police are looking for a man who allegedly stabbed a woman several times Tuesday night in Central Park, then fled with her cell phone and wallet.
Police say at about 9:15 p.m., the woman was assaulted with a deadly weapon near the pond in Santa Clara’s Central Park, Kiely Blvd. and Benton St.
A male suspect approached the woman in the park, according to authorities. The suspect stabbed the woman several times with a sharp instrument. The man then stole the woman’s wallet and cell phone, and fled on foot.

The woman was transported to a local hospital for her injuries. The injuries appear not to be life-threatening, according to Santa Clara Police.

- Hispanic male adult approximately 20-22 years old
- Medium brown complexion
- No accent
- 5’6”-5’7” tall with a thin build
- No facial hair and wavy shoulder length dark brown hair and eyes
- Sunken cheeks and obvious cheek bones
- Wearing a light-colored, beige hooded sweatshirt (beach style with an obvious heavy thread and weave pattern and possibly a front pocket)
- Wearing dark grey or black “shiny” pants (possibly basketball warm-up type)
- Person possibly smokes
Police do not believe the man is a transient.
