The road to is narrow and winding, and well worth the journey. Up in the hills, the vines are kissed by warmth of the sun during the day and cooled by the marine layer that rolls in from the Pacific Ocean.

Take a look here now, then take a drive up there this weekend. The Monte Bello tasting room is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and weekdays by appointment.
