14-Year-Olds Steal Car in Nevada, Get Arrested in Davis

"The cops showed up, blocked off the street, and pointed rifles at the suspects," said one onlooker.

Two 14 teenagers were arrested downtown on F Street today after stealing a car in Nevada and driving west. They were arrested between Second and Third, near . 

“They ran away from Nevada,” said Lt. Paul Doroshov. “In the process of running way, they stole a car and ended up in Davis.”

Doroshov said that the car theft wasn’t a violent car jacking, as far they know.

Davis Patch received a news tip at 11 a.m. that there was a police scene downtown.

“It was pretty nuts,” the reader wrote in an email. “The cops showed up, blocked off the street, and pointed rifles at the suspects.”

The vehicle was a Ford Explorer with Nevada plates. The case isn't ready, so that's all the information we have for now.
