27 New Davis Teachers, Reporting for Duty
Here's a list of all new teachers, librarians and directors.
Nearly 30 new teachers and educators sat in a circle in the School District Office's courtyard Friday morning for their new-hire orientation -- the start of their employment with the Davis Joint Unified School District.
“Look around you,” said Superintendent Winfred Roberson. “You went through a rigorous hiring process. There were hundreds of applicants and you were accepted. We depend on your success.”
With the school year just a few days away, Roberson called upon these new teachers to rise to the occasion in spite of large obstacles, like budget cuts and larger class sizes.

The teachers, all of which are listed below, will be teaching at a variety of schools across the district, ranging from nursery school all the way up to Davis High School.
There's everyone from Ann Holt, who came from Woodland to teach Science Prep at Montgomery to Carianna Liefland from San Diego, who "within two weeks of being hired had her stuff moved to Davis." She'll teach Math at Harper Junior High, according to Principal Zena Ingles.
