Ride Your Bike From de Vere's Sac to Davis!

De Vere’s Irish Pub is excited to announce their first-ever de Vere’s to de Vere’s Bike Ride on March 3rd, 2012!

They have partnered with local bike enthusiasts to create a great annual bike ride between the Sacramento and Davis pubs. This year seemed the perfect year to start this tradition, as Sacramento is the home of the North American Handmade Bicycle show for 2012.

Rick Houston, the Regional Liaison for the North American Handmade Bicycle Show and a local bike enthusiast, approached de Vere’s to create this fun community ride.

Registered riders will meet at 8:30am on March 3rd at de Vere’s Sacramento location (1531 L Street) for some swag, courtesy of ClifBar and de Vere’s Irish Pub.

At 9am, everyone will leave together for Davis and the U.S. Cycling Hall of Fame. Led by the team riders from the Mad Cat Cycling Team, riders will cross the Causeway and stop at de Vere’s new location in Davis (217 E Street) before heading over to the Hall of Fame. Once there, riders can stay and peruse the Hall of Fame and Davis for a while or head back to Sacramento and attend the North American Handmade Bicycle Show.

Or they can grab a train back to Sacramento via the Amtrak/Capitol Corridor, as the Davis station is just down the street. Either way, riders should expect to be back in Sacramento shortly after noon, giving them several hours to check out the best bicycles in the world at the NAHBS.
