Body Found On Interstate Center Divide In NorCal: Police

Anyone with information about the situation is asked to call California Highway Patrol.

WOODLAND, CA — A body was found Tuesday on a center divide on Interstate 5 outside Sacramento, according to police, who said the deceased was the apparent victim of a hit-and-run crash.

Officers responded around 11:30 a.m. to a report of a person lying on the divide on the interstate north of West Street in Woodland, California Highway Patrol Officer Rodney Fitzhugh said.

The officers found the deceased, who they believed to be a pedestrian struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, according to Fitzhugh.
