Police Standoff Near Slide Hill Park is Over

ORIGINAL STORY: We were informed via Twitter this afternoon that there were "police everywhere" near in East Davis. 

I contacted Police Lt. Paul Doroshov, who quickly responded via text message."Male 26 yr old possibly barricaded," Doroshov wrote.

"Story is his girl friend has a restraining order and thats her house," wrote Twitter user @fontainedaniel, later adding, "the intersection of Loyola and Tulip is now blocked." 

"Police are turning traffic around at 8th and Mesquite," one user informed me in an email. "...They've also shut it down near Adrian or Tulip on Loyola. You can still get to the park via Temple and Monarch."
