Construction Lane and Ramp Closures on US-50 in Sacramento Beginning Tonight
Attention overnight commuters, US-50 Lane & Ramp Closures begin tonight. Expect delays from Oct. 30 thru Nov. 1.

The Sacramento County Department of Transportation is asking for your patience during the next three days as construction activities for the Watt Avenue @ US-50 Interchange Project closes lanes and ramps.
In a press release the county said there will be overnight lane and ramp closures for three consecutive nights as follows:
US-50 @ Watt Avenue Eastbound and Westbound Lane Closures – 10/30 & 10/31

- Eastbound: The night of Wednesday, October 30 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. -- US 50 eastbound will be restricted to one lane at times to allow for new bridge falsework to be adjusted.
- Westbound: The night of Thursday, October 31 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. -- US-50 westbound will be restricted to one lane at times for new bridge falsework to be adjusted.
- Delays/Detours: Expect possible 5 to 10 minutes delays during lane closure periods. No detour is necessary. Only one direction of US-50 will be effected at a time.
US-50 Eastbound Off-Ramp to Southbound Watt Avenue – 11/1
- Off-Ramp Closures: The eastbound US-50 off-ramp to southbound Watt Avenue will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the evening of November 1. Southbound Watt Avenue from the Watt Avenue overcrossing to Folsom Boulevard will have restrictions to one lane at times for paving operations.
- Detour: Take the eastbound US-50 exit to northbound Watt Avenue and exit at La Riviera Drive. Turn left under the Watt Avenue overcrossing and turn left onto the on-ramp to southbound Watt Avenue.
- Interchange Construction: The Watt Avenue @ US-50 interchange project will modify the existing interchange to reduce congestion, install dedicated transit facilities, and improve access and safety for bicyclists and pedestrians. Project work during these closure evenings will include crews working each night to adjust support beams called falsework, and roadway paving.
