Coroner IDs Driver Killed in North Bay Head-On Collision

BREAKING: The 26-year-old died in a head-on collision with a big-rig in an unincorporated area.

NORTH BAY, CA -- The Solano County coroner's office has identified a driver who died in a head-on collision with a big-rig in unincorporated Solano County west of Rio Vista on the afternoon of Jan. 10 as 26-year-old Daniel Brelsford, of Vacaville.

Brelsford was driving a Buick sedan west on state Highway 12 east of Lambie Road around 3 p.m. when he drove into the eastbound lane and collided with an International tractor-trailer driven by a 46-year-old Tracy
man, California Highway Patrol Officer David Harvey said.

Brelsford was ejected from the Buick and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP; the big-rig driver was not injured.

Brelsford, according to his personal Facebook page, was a former steel detailer and worked at Down at Joe's Garage self-defense store in Fairfield.
