Davis Music Fest Revisited: Three Bands on One Stage Thursday Night
Judgement Day, Who Cares and Opus Orange will perform at the G Street Wunderbar Thursday night.

Three of the most well received bands from the Davis Music Festival will be performing together at the G Street Wunderbar Thursday night. It’s the first ever DMF Revisited show, but the organizers hope there will be many more to come.
The lineup is: Judgement Day, Who Cares and Opus Orange. If the words “string metal” get you excited, you might be in for a treat. (Details below)
This show comes on the heels of the second annual Davis Music Festival, which was a great success this summer.

The third Davis Music Festival is scheduled for June 22, 2013, and will feature some "big surprises," according to Danny Tomasello, Director of Music Only Makes Sense and organizer of the Music Fest.
Music Only Makes Sense recently contributed $2,500 to the Davis School Arts Foundation after paying bills and artists from last year's Fest, according to Tomasello.

If you’d like to go to Thursday night’s show at the G Street Wunderbar, you can buy tickets here for $8.50 or get them at the door.
“With profits, we'd like to finance this amazing music teacher, Tina from Davis Art Center, who conducted 2nd graders of Willett Elementary through a multi-genre performance they did last year, to come back or go to another school in town,” said Tomasello told me in an email.
Here are the bands that will be performing Thursday night:
Judgement Day –There are no guitars in the band Judgement Day—only a violin, a cello, and drums. Their music, like their name would suggest, would be a perfect soundtrack to the apocalypse: biblically epic, dissonant and classically beautiful, and brutal as any metal band with a guitar.
Who Cares – Sacramento’s most talked-about hip hop band Who Cares makes it very clear that they are all about the live performance—and they deliver magnificently. With the usual setup, an emcee and a laptop, combined with a keyboard and a flute player and occasional other instruments, their music adds elements of funk, trip-hop, jazz, and everything in between. They recently played shows supporting RJD2, Sage Francis and Chk Chk Chk.
Opus Orange - Opus Orange cleverly masters the art of combining early California classic rock with a ukulele and a toy piano. With recent tv spots on Grey’s Anatomy and Apple and Buick commercials, the band is beginning to receive national attention.
