DUI in Construction Zone on Westbound I-80 Near Mace (CHP Log)

Westbound I-80 east of Mace Boulevard Michael Scott Brown, a 59-year-old male from Davis was driving a 1995 Toyota pickup on westbound I-80, east of Mace Boulevard.  Brown was approaching a construction and entered a lane closure where a Cal Trans Sign truck and two CHP patrol vehicles were on duty. 

The Cal Trans truck and CHP patrol vehicles were required to take evasive actions to avoid a traffic collision with the Toyota. Officers were able to make a traffic stop on the Toyota and contacted Brown.  Upon contacting Brown, officers observed that Brown was exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication.  Officers performed a DUI evaluation and determined that Brown was driving while under the influence of alcohol.  

Brown was subsequently arrested for DUI and booked into the Yolo County Jail.
