Food Trucks Will Roll Into Davis (Twice!) this September
The first food truck event is on September 8 at Davis Legacy Soccer Fields and the next is on September 21 near the Co-op.
Davis has seen its fair share of food-truck controversy in recent years. City law only allows trucks to remain parked in one place for 10 minutes, making it hard for trucks to turn a profit.
But this summer's brought a handful of food trucks and street vendors to one spot. The event was a massive success, to the point that the vendors ran out of food, ending the party a bit early.
Just a couple of months removed from the Rodeo, the food trucks will be rolling back to town twice this September.

The first is called Barefoot on the Pitch, which will bring "Sacramento's hottest food trucks, local beer and wine and live music" to the Davis Legacy Soccer Club fields on September 8.
The second is Round 2 of the Davis Dirt's Street Food Rodeo on September 21. It'll again be on 6th Street , but this time there will be "more food vendors and more entertainment."

Both events will raise money for causes.
The Food Truck Rodeo will donate a percentage of gross sales to the Davis School Garden Program, which helps kids stay in touch with where their food comes from.
Barefoot on the Pitch is Davis Legacy Soccer Club's first club-wide fundraiser aims to fund lighting improvements at the soccer fields.
The Food Truck Rodeo is a free event. You just pay for whatever food you decide to scarf down.
Barefoot on the Pitch costs $40 for Davis Legacy players and $45 for others. Admission gets you "$10 worth of red cards for food and $10 worth of yellow cards for beer and wine." You can buy tickets here.
