Mori Seiki Comes to Davis, Gets Saluted by Sacto
The Sacramento Area Trade and Commerce Organization has given the company their New Industry Award.

Japanese tool manufacturing company Mori Seiki is making a substantial investment in the region, Davis specifically. For that reason, the Sacramento Area Trade and Commerce Organization is giving the company their New Industry Award.
Mori Seiki is currently building its first United States manufacturing facility in Davis. It will be the largest development in the Sacramento region to open this year and is expected to bring some very high-quality job opportunities.
Although there was some protest several months ago by union workers who were unhappy that Mori Seiki was using non-union and journeyman to build the facility (), the overall sentiment in Davis has been extremely positive.
