"...she observed a male subject looking into her bedroom while exposing himself."

I received the following email from my apartment complex administration Thursday afternoon.

"At approximately 9:30 pm a male subject was spotted performing an [illicit] act outside a female resident’s window. She called the police but the suspect was not found.

Suspect described as male 20 to 30 5’6” to 5’7” dark complexion possibly of Hispanic or middle eastern decent. He had very short/buzz cut hair and he was wearing a black hoodie.

What caught my attention was the photo they inserted in the middle of the announcement, which I’ve included in this story. I assumed it was an actual photo from the event, which freaked me out. It occurred to me afterward that it's just a stock image.

Still, the event itself is disturbing.

I discussed the topic with my neighbors Thursday evening because I wanted to get their thoughts and see if they had any more information. They didn’t know much, so we all split up and went about our evenings.

On Friday afternoon, the  sent me the following:

"On May 23rd, Davis Police Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of H Street for a prowler. A 22 year old female was in her apartment when she heard a “knocking” sound on her bedroom wall. When she approached her window, she observed a male subject looking into her bedroom while exposing himself.

The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male. He was wearing a black “hoodie” style sweatshirt and blue jeans. The subject had brown hair, brown eyes, and was approximately 5’7” tall. The suspect had an unshaven face, with a thin moustache and a shaved head.

The victim yelled at the suspect and he fled on foot prior to police arrival."
