Renne Lyra Morrow: Reverend Robert Fuesler's Memorial Message

This is the audio from Reverend Robert Fuesler's message at Renne Lyra Morrow's memorial. Four lives were saved through organ donation as a result of Morrow's death. . 

"I just want to say," Fuesler said. "I am under no allusions or desire to say that the tradition of which I am a part is any better than any other. What I am wanting to suggest is that as we grieve Renne’s death, there might be time to consider if the God that you believe in is too small… is not ‘trans’ enough." 

"I admit that if this ends up on YouTube and Bill O’Reilly gets a hold of it, then I’m in big trouble. Because describing God as trans is quite provocative. But I recognize that I am speaking at an institute of higher learning and many of you are at different stages of spiritual investigation, religious questioning, faith, or none."

Fuesler said of Morrow: We had a lot of theological discussions and his “religious life was in flux, but boy he was he deep.”
