UCD Rowing Team Crowd-Funding For Nationals

The UC Davis men's rowing team has set up a GoFundMe in hopes of funding their trip to the ACRA Championship.

DAVIS, CA- The UC Davis men's rowing team is finishing out a strong season, and is headed for the championships. They have an expensive trip ahead of them and they are hoping for the community's support.
The team is preparing to race at the ACRA Championship Regatta, a national collegiate event that will take place on May 28-29 in Gainesville, GA.

"We are proud to be sending 18 athletes to Georgia this year in a Varsity 8+ and Novice 8+," says the GoFundMe story, "The team is fired up and training hard each day to win medals once again, hoping to build on the success our V4+ saw last year."

With very little funding from the university, the individuals are financially responsible for almost everything part of the sport, as such, each competing athlete is expected to cover his own costs.
