Woman Shot In East Bay During Argument With Man Walking A Pit Bull: Report
The woman told police she was shot in the leg after getting into a confrontation with a man walking a dog on her way to the BART station.
OAKLAND, CA — A 44-year-old woman told police she was shot in the leg Thursday morning in Oakland after getting into a confrontation with a man walking a pit bull, according to a report by The Mercury News.
The woman, an Oakland resident, told police that around 5:26 a.m. on Thursday on the 3800 block of Telegraph Avenue she was walking to a BART station when she got into an argument on the street with a man walking the dog, The Mercury News reported.
The woman said the man pulled out a gun and shot her in the lower right leg before he fled, according to the Mercury News.

She was transported to a hospital and is listed in stable condition. Police have not yet released a detailed description of the suspect.
