• Peninsula left without power after storms (montereyherald.com) — Thousands of Del Monte Forest residents lost power after strong storms swept the Monterey Peninsula Tuesday night, with more than 5,000 local customers affected and no firm restoration time yet. Outages also hit Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Carmel, Monterey, and Seaside, while PG&E crews work on storm damage, including a broken power pole, before beginning full repairs.
