• Kennedy football wins first state title for program, city of Delano (fresnobee.com) — Delano’s Robert F. Kennedy High just brought home the city’s first-ever CIF state football championship, beating Oakland McClymonds 42-25 in Division 3-A. Led by record-setting rusher Jace Demacabalin and junior standout Cristian Hernandez, the Thunderbirds’ win caps several years of rising success and marks a proud milestone for west-side Delano and homegrown Kern County players.
