Carmel Valley Neighbors Spot Suspicious Men, Call Police
The reports were linked to a home burglary on the 3700 block of Overpark Road.

Police are encouraging residents to report suspicious activity after neighbors spotted two men who might have burglarized a Carmel Valley home.
A home on the 3700 block of Overpark Road was burglarized between 10:20 and 11 a.m. on July 19 through a broken glass door, according to a post this week on the San Diego Police Department Northwestern Division's Facebook page.
Police dispatched a helicopter and patrol cars, but could not find the two men residents reported seeing.
"This is a reminder how important it is for neighbors to watch for and call in suspicious activity," the post stated. "You never know your call could prevent, stop, or help arrest someone in a crime."
The reminder comes just a few weeks before National Night Out on Aug. 6, a coast-to-coast event where law enforcement, Neighborhood Watch and community groups get residents together to meet and learn about crime prevention. The San Diego Police Department asks residents citywide to turn on their porch lights from 7-10 p.m. that night, lock their doors and come socialize outside with their neighbors.
