Nessie is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet This Week

She hugs.

Nessie is a 2-year-old, 57-pound, female, Shepherd mix.

She was loose when a good Samaritan picked her up and took her to a crowded shelter. When nobody claimed her, Nessie was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS).

She’s a playful dog who walks well on leash. Nessie stands on her hind legs so she can hug. She’s not interested in treats. She just wants you to pet her.

She likes kids and other dogs. Nessie might be okay living in an apartment.

The $145 adoption fee for Nessie includes medical exam, spay, vaccinations, microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.
