Man Fatally Struck By Train In Del Mar
The deadly collision happened just north of Torrey Pines State Beach in Del Mar, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
DEL MAR, CA — A man was struck and killed by a train over the weekend in Del Mar, authorities said.
The deadly collision happened at 9:53 p.m. Sunday just north of Torrey Pines State Beach, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The man was hit by a North County Transit District Coaster train.
"Sheriff's deputies from the North Coastal Patrol Station and fire personnel responded to the scene and declared the involved subject deceased from obvious signs of death due to the injuries he sustained," sheriff's Sgt. Jason King said.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the man and determine the cause and manner of his death, King said.
