Range Fire Largely Contained Near Soledad: Cal Fire
Fire officials said Sunday evening that crews were nearing full containment on a blaze that burned almost 80 acres.

SOLEDAD, CA — Cal Fire said at 8:34 p.m. Sunday the Range Fire in Monterey County is 95 percent contained at 76 acres.
The fire agency said a previous report saying the fire was 500 acres was incorrect, due to faulty mapping.
The fire was initially reported around 5 p.m. off San Vicente Road, two miles north of Soledad.
The CA Fire Scanner Twitter feed said Cal Fire called a full wildland response, including air support.
