Police Watching for Drunken Drivers This Weekend
Comic-Con and the Del Mar Races are happening this weekend, bringing thousands of extra people into the San Diego area.
With a busy weekend ahead, police have scheduled a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location Saturday night.
Between 9 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. Saturday night, the San Diego Police Department will be screening drivers for alcohol and/or drug intoxication, or hitting the streets with drivers license issues. Comic-Con and the Del Mar Races are happening this weekend, bringing thousands of extra people into the San Diego area.
A DUI enforcement campaign around the Del Mar Races on opening day Wednesday put 10 drivers in handcuffs.
