San Diego County Sheriff's Department: Train Vs. Pedestrian Collision - Carlsbad
Deputies are investigating the incident. The manner of death will be determined by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

On Friday, February 18 around 9:15 a.m., deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff's Station's Transit Enforcement Unit responded to a report of a pedestrian who was struck by an Amtrak train just north of the Carlsbad Village rail station located at 2700 block of State Street.

When they arrived on the scene, they found the pedestrian had died from his injuries.
Deputies are investigating the incident. The manner of death will be determined by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
