Notice is hereby given that, the Finance Division of the City of Walnut, County of Los Angeles, State of California, declares that the following monetary sums have been held by the City of Walnut and have remained unclaimed for a period of over three (3) years and will become the property of the City of Walnut on the 12th day of January 2022 a date not less than forty-five (45) days nor more than sixty-days (60) after the first publication of this Notice.

Any interested party may, prior to the date designated above, file a claim with the City’s Finance Division which includes the claimant’s name, address, telephone number, Social Security Number or Federal Employer Identification Number, amount of claim and the grounds for which the claim is founded. The Unclaimed Money Claim Form can be obtained at City Hall from the City’s Finance Division at 21201 La Puente Road, Walnut, CA 91789 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday or from the City’s website www.cityofwalnut.org. Proof of identity such as a driver’s license must be provided before funds will be released. Please direct any questions to the City of Walnut, Finance Division at (909) 595-7543.
This notice and its contents are in accordance with California Government Code Sections 50050, 50051, 50052, 50053, 50056.
