Naked Man Arrested in Suspected Robbery in Diamond Bar

Sheriff's deputies were chasing the man when he stripped off his clothes and rolled naked on the ground before getting arrested.

DIAMOND BAR, CA - A burglary suspect chased by sheriff's deputies took off his clothes and rolled on the ground naked before his arrest, authorities said Monday.

The burglary was reported at a business on Diamond Bar Boulevard near Sunset Crossing Road at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. J. Soto of the Sheriff's Walnut Station.

"The owner caught him and he ran away," Soto said. "Responding deputies saw him and when they attempted to detain him he stripped down on his own and rolled around on the ground."

The naked man was taken into custody, he said, adding that "the suspect has a history of mental illness and may have been under the influence."
