One Dead In Fatal Collision On Diamond Bar Freeway Exchange

Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to an incident on the transition road between the 60 and 57 Freeways.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — One person was killed early Thursday morning in a collision on the transition road between the 60 and 57 Freeways in Diamond Bar.

The person died at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities have withheld the name of the person until they can notify their family.

The collision happened around 1 a.m. on the transition road between the eastbound 60 Freeway and northbound 57 Freeway, according to the CHP. The road was shut down for several hours as officers investigated the scene.

The freeway transition eventually reopened around 7:20 a.m.

Authorities said the cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation.
