Walnut/Diamond Bar Station Issues Phone Scam Alert
Several residents have received scam phone calls from individuals claiming to be from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — Authorities are warning Diamond Bar and Walnut residents of scammers calling people in the area claiming to be from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
A scammer would claim the person receiving the phone call has an arrest warrant out for them, according to the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station. The scammer would also give the name of an actual sheriff's department employee.
However, the sheriff's department does not call people directly regarding an arrest warrant. If someone does have a warrant out for their arrest, they will receive a court notice in the mail, sheriff's officials said.
