17-Year-Old Boy Shot in the Leg While Sitting in Car
The Fairfield Police Department is searching for the suspect.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg while sitting in a car in Fairfield on Monday night, and police are investigating whether the shooting was gang-related.
Officers responded to the area of East Tabor and Dover avenues around 9:45 p.m. after police received reports of shots fired. As officers checked the area for evidence of a shooting, the 17-year-old arrived at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield with a gunshot wound to his leg, police said.

The teen had been driven to the hospital by friends in a car that was riddled with bullet holes, according to police. The victim was listed in stable condition.
Police said the bullet had traveled through the teen's leg. The case is being investigated by the department's gang unit. No arrests have been made.
