A Day of Remembrance Event Brings Hope For the Future

SOLANO COUNTY – A commemoration event on Friday will honor the victims of domestic violence and celebrate the efforts to stop the violence.

Join the Solano County Office of Family Violence Prevention, Solano Family Justice Center, Lift3 Support Group and the Solano Partnership Against Violence as they commemorate “A Day of Remembrance” in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The event is from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, Oct. 28, at the Solano County Events Center, 601 Texas St. in Fairfield.

“This is a bitter-sweet event that reenergizes our hope for a better future without domestic violence,” said Carolyn Wold of the Office of Family Violence Prevention.  “We are recognizing the tragedy of anyone who has lost their life at the hands of domestic violence and celebrating the victory of those who have survived and the outpouring of compassion in our community to stop the violence.”
