Coppes said this week's band is named BEAM and is a little unique based on the fact the group's leader, Bob Martino is a graduate of Dixon High School.
They are a group of musicians that have been playing for many years and are currently together for this project. The band focuses on classic rock tunes, but not the typical standards that everyone does. The band has been together for about two years and they have had very good response and feedback from past performances. They are all seasoned musicians that put on a polished performance.

The group is no longer the rock stars of their youth but play primarily for enjoyment.
"We are also happy to provide our services for fund-raising events, or for that matter any good cause like a fund raiser for the American Legion," According to Martino.
He added, "I currently live in Woodland, but was born in Dixon and grew up there. I graduated in 1971 from Dixon High and still consider Dixon my home town. It will be a special thrill for me to play there. Many of my old schoolmates are still in Dixon and I try to keep in touch. One of our band members is from close-by Vacaville. Two live in Sacramento and the other is retired from Travis Air-force base."
