Dixon Business License Renewals Due in January

The City of Dixon wants to remind the community that business license renewals are due by Jan. 3, 2012. Renewal notices listed the date as January 2, 2012, which the City is observing as a holiday for New Year’s Day.  A 10 percent penalty will be assessed if the renewal is not paid by Jan. 31, 2012.

This year, Administrative Services staff sent out business license renewal notices to 900 businesses in November and has received about 300 responses.

The adopted Ordinance 10-002 in 2010 to exempt veterans, their spouses and their widows from paying business license taxes.

The ordinance is posted on the City’s website at www.ci.dixon.ca.us  and may be accessed by navigating to the “Applying for a Business License” section within Departments, Finance and IT.
