Downtown Dixon Construction Work Notice

In September 2011, the Dixon City Council authorized the advertisement of the Photovoltaic (Solar) Project.  The City awarded the construction contract to Real Goods Solar, Inc. and work began the week of March 19, 2012. Major construction and parking lot shut downs for the downtown locations (see attached map) are tentatively scheduled as follows:

Construction Requiring Significant Area Closure:

- Public Lot (2/3 lot)/Police Station (1/2 lot) 4/02/2012 – 4/20/2012

Construction Requiring Closure Under Panels Only:

- Public Lot/ Police Station 5/24/2012 – 6/12/2012

Please note the schedule may shift forward or backwards depending on project conditions. As the dates approach, notice will be posted at each site a minimum of 72 hours prior to the closures.

The Contractor is anticipating the panels to be connected to PG&E’s system and the Project completed by the first week of September 2012.
