Lunchtime Workshop Series Provides Insight to Child Support Process

SOLANO COUNTY – Solano County Department of Child Support Services continues its monthly workshops to help insight into the child support process.

The free workshops will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Solano County Department of Child Services, 435 Executive Court North in Fairfield.

  • Nov. 30: Review and Adjustment – Learn the process of modifying a court order if you are paying too much or receiving too little in child support, including who can request a modification, how to request one, and what to expect during the modification process. 
  • Jan. 25: Compromise of Arrears – Find out if you qualify for a reduction in back child support obligations by learning about the state Compromise of Arrears program.
  • Feb. 29: What to Expect at Court – Become familiar with the basics of how to prepare for a court appearance, including what documents are needed and what happens before and after the court hearing.
