Ramtown Karate, Ryukyukan to Host International Karate Tournament at DHS

The new will be the site of an international karate tournament Saturday, Nov. 5, drawing contestants from as far as London, and Okinawa Japan.

The tournament is hosted by Dixon’s local , and Ryukyukan, an international karate organization based in Okinawa, the birthplace of karate.

Okinawan karate master Koei Nohara will be present at the tournament. Top Northern California karate competitors will demonstrate their skills to the crowd, and make friendships that often times continue after returning to homes across the oceans.

The tournament begins at 10 a.m. An open knockdown karate competition begins at 4 p.m. An Okinawan cultural demonstration will also take place at the afternoon event.
