The Governing Board of the Dixon Unified School District has had discussions at recent meetings related to Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 5131.61, the Substance Use and Abuse Prevention Policy, and Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 4127 on Temporary Athletic Coaches.
As these policies have not been reviewed in over a decade, and in response to questions and concerns brought forward in the recent discussions, the District is forming a Task Force comprised of staff members, students, and parents or community members to review the policies and suggest possible revisions to the Governing Board.
Parents, guardians and community members interested in volunteering to serve on the Task Force should apply to be members at the District Office located at 180 South 1st Street, Suite 6, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Those who apply will be given a verification that their application has been accepted. Should there be more applicants than spaces on the Task Force, a random draw shall be held to select members. The draw shall be made in the presence of the Board Member selected to serve as the liaison to the Task Force.
