
After a nationwide search that attracted a number of highly qualified candidates, the City of Dixon is pleased to welcome Mr. Jim Lindley as Dixon’s new City Manager. City Council approved Mr. Lindley’s appointment on February 14, 2012, with a 5-0 vote. He will start his new assignment with the City of Dixon on March 12, 2012.
A public welcoming reception for Mr. Lindley will be held at the Dixon Senior Center prior to the City Council meeting on March 13, 2012 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. This will provide an opportunity for the Council, City Employees and Public to meet and greet Mr. Lindley.
Mr. Lindley brings to this position more than 15 years of local government experience at management and executive levels. He served as City Manager of Dunsmuir, California since June 2010. Mr. Lindley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in economics and a Master’s Degree with honors in Public Administration from California State University, San Bernardino.

Mr. Lindley will replace Jon Cox, who has been the Acting City Manager of the City of Dixon since Nancy Huston left in June 2011 to become Solano County’s Assistant County Administrator.
