Car, Train Collide At Solano County Railroad Crossing
The collision between a Honda Accord and a freight train was reported at 4:43 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — At least one person suffered minor injuries after a vehicle was struck by a Union Pacific Railroad freight train in unincorporated Solano County early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol and the Union Pacific Railroad.
The collision was first reported around 4:33 a.m. at the Fox Road main line railroad crossing, which is northeast of Vacaville, the CHP said.
The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle, which Union Pacific spokeswoman Hannah Bolte said was occupied at the time of the collision.

A Honda Accord suffered major front-end damage and was pushed 100 feet away from the crossing, which has two tracks, the CHP said.
The driver was transported to Kaiser Medical Center in Vacaville for treatment of minor injuries. Neither the CHP nor Union Pacific identified the driver.

The CHP is investigating the collision. As of 5:30 a.m., no arrests have been made.
