Dixon Fire Extinguishes Blazing Vehicle

Dixon Fire responded to a vehicle fire this afternoon along I-80 at Batavia Road and A Street.
Fire Chief Aaron McAlister reported there were no injuries, but that the car had pulled over with mechanical issues.
"The car ended up in the grass and sparked the fire," said McAlister, "it burnt about a 1/4 acre of vegetation surrounding the vehicle."
