Dixon Rollover Wreck Sends Carmichael Man to the Hospital

An accident along eastbound Interstate 80 at Midway Road in Dixon sent a Carmichael man to the hospital with minor-to-moderate injuries

California Highway Patrol and Dixon firefighters are working the scene of a single-vehicle, rollover traffic accident that sent a Carmichael man to UC Davis Medical Center with moderate-to-minor injuries.

The accident was called in at approximately 2:59 p.m., along east Highway 80 at Midway Road. Carmichael resident Brian Montgomery Paque, 30, was driving a white Ford Ranger XLT eastbound along the roadway. Montgomery was on his way back home from a job site in Napa said his passenger, Alex Gregory, of Citrus Heights.

β€œHe was going 65 in the fast lane, he kind of drifted left a little bit toward the center divider, overcorrected back to the right and flipped over,” California Highway Patrol officer J.A. Saraiva said.

β€œI think we flipped at least four times,” Gregory said. β€œI was messing with that seat belt all day, you got to smack it to get it to go in.”

Gregory sustained scrapes to his hands. Montgomery sustained a head injury and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Saraivia did not release the official cause of the accident, but said that she did not suspect drugs or alcohol to be contributing factors.

The accident is under investigation. Both men wore their seat belts.
